The Javits Center plays an integral role in improving the quality of life for New Yorkers, from spurring economic activity and job creation to reducing storm water in the West Side community. Our events support more than 14,000 jobs for New Yorkers, from carpenters to cab drivers, and fuel the popularity of local businesses, from restaurants to retail shops, across the five boroughs.

To further engage with our neighbors, we just launched a new program called Javits Juniors that educates elementary school students about the importance of the Javits Center, the trade show industry and its overall impact on New York. As a part of the program, participants meet with members of the Javits Center staff, including sales managers, electricians and carpenters, and tour the 2.1 million square-foot building, including the new 6.75-acre green roof! Tours are by appointment only. If your school is interested in participating in the program, please email
