As a leader of sustainable practices and green building design for venues, we value strong partnerships with event organizers to ensure both a successful event and a sustainable one. We have developed several downloadable resources to help organizers better understand what their biggest wins are and how to achieve them. Our sustainability team is available to assist throughout the planning process, so please do not hesitate to reach out, whether it is to develop operations around waste management, request more information about sustainable food and beverage services or schedule a donation through our JavitsCares program.
The JavitsCares program is a collaborative operation that identifies, collects and donates a wide range of items that are left behind by exhibiting companies at the conclusion of the move-out period. These items such as furniture, household products and construction materials are often purchased for a one-time use. JavitsCares redirects these items to local non-profit organizations throughout the New York region.
Always consider designing for reuse before settling on donation. If you must donate, please keep in mind that donations must be in good enough quality for moving, transporting, and repurposing by donation partners. Donations will include carting fees. Ask: Would you purchase this item second hand for your home?
